Guided Tours 

A wide range of tours are offered to help you explore the permanent collections and temporary exhibitions as well as the garden and the building designed by Jean Nouvel. 

Audio guides

Explore the collections or temporary exhibitions through a selection of commentaries, music, images, videos and stories.

Free visitor guides

The “Collections Exploration Guide” takes you on a journey around the world with stops in Africa, Asia, Oceania and the Americas.  Explore each continent through emblematic works in the museum’s collections!

 “My Little Exploration Guide” and games booklets (in some temporary exhibitions) are also available for children.

For your Comfort


A free cloakroom is available for you to store your personal items before your visit, excluding valuable or bulky objects, subject to capacity.

  • JH level (Upper Garden)

Pushchairs are permitted in the exhibition spaces, but can also be stored in the cloakroom. 

Mandatory Storage
To facilitate your visit, the following objects must be stored in the cloakroom:

  • Motorcycle helmets
  • Umbrellas and walking sticks
  • Backpacks, small bags
  • Sharp and blunt objects
  • Art folders

Security and checkpoints at the entrances to the musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac have been strengthened as part of the Vigipirate scheme on high alert. Suitcases, travel bags and rucksacks larger than A3 are prohibited. As a result, it may take longer than usual to enter the museum. We thank you in advance for your understanding.
