The BEFORE events are free evening events with a special programme (tours, performances, workshops, DJ sets, etc.) to give visitors the opportunity to discover the arts connected with an exhibition, combining tradition and contemporary creation.
Another of the museum's evening events not to be missed are the Pop-Ups (click here for more), allowing visitors to discover the temporary exhibitions from a new angle.
And don't miss the many performances and concerts scheduled at the Claude Lévi-Strauss Theatre, as well as screenings in the cinema.

Free entry to the collections
Entry to the permanent collections and all the temporary exhibitions is free during the museum opening hours for 18 to 25-year-old residing in the EU!
Young people aged under 26 can also benefit from reduced admission for guided tours, storytelling tours, workshops, performances and concerts.

Study at the museum
Reading Room
Designed as a private parlour, the Jacques Kerchache Reading Room hosts regular talks with authors, researchers and artists as well as being a documentation centre.
Freely accessible: 5,000 works (exhibition catalogues, art books, atlases, etc.), 70 journals and cultural news articles.
Media Library
A centre of excellence in ethnology, the media library contains a wide range of works on the civilisations of Africa, Asia, Oceania and the Americas.
Entrance conditions: free registration on evidence of research (student card, professional card or research and/or motivation certification).
