Elena Izcue, Lima-Paris in the thirties

Coinciding with the Paracas show, the Garden Gallery is hosting an exhibition devoted to the Peruvian artist Elena Izcue (1889–1970).

About the exhibition

Her pictorial and graphic works, executed in the 1930's, reveal the strong influence of pre-Colombian textile art and especially that of the Paracas, which is the source of her motifs. Hosting the two exhibitions in parallel encourages the visitor to cross over from one universe to the other, in both directions, within the Garden Gallery space.
