Résumé
The Nisu, a sub group of the so called Yi previously called Lolo by the Hans are more than one million people in the southern part of Yunnan, belonging to tibeto burman family. The area of Sheping, north of Honghe is home of the northern group of Nisu, called flower belt YI in chinese. Here you can listen to 3 parts of the northern Nisu : 1 to 4 : instrumental part composed of stringed instruments recorded in Xue Gua Chong village, 5 to 10 : a ritual gathering a crowd of dancers, a percussion ensemble and a kind of theater, celebrating the 5 th day after chinese new year recorded in Mushan village, and the last part a vocal choir, away from the crowd in Mushan village.
