Description
The ruins of Tlaloc. It appears that this place was used as a shrine by the Indians and it must have been an important shrine to worship as there are no other ruines nearby. It must also have been used as a fortress on account of its position and thick walls. On two sides of the shrine, the ground is very steep and on the other two sides the ground rises at a fairly pronounced angle, the least pronounced being the side where the entrance is placed. No water is to be seen on this mountain but a good stream passes at the bottom and goes to the village of Tequisquennhuac. The ruins althought very simple, are most interesting and if restored would make a very imposing sight especially on account of its surroundings.
