MAJOR MUSEUM PATRON
The Total Foundation programme encompasses the citizenship initiatives conducted every day worldwide by its sites, its affiliates and its corporate foundation. The Group aims to contribute to development in our host communities and regions with a special focus on young people. The Group works in four fields alongside its partners: youth inclusion and education; road safety; climate, coastal areas and oceans; cultural dialogue and heritage. Shared action is at the heart of the Total Foundation programme which is mobilising all players to trial innovative solidarity models. Each Total co-worker can also devote 3 days a year of their time to general interest missions. Total Foundation plays an active role in the Group's social commitments and contributes to its aim of becoming the leader in responsible energy.
In the 130 countries where it is established, Total is a local player helping to forge social links. Above and beyond this, Total Foundation seeks to reinforce co-existence through access to culture and heritage, a source of openness, mutual understanding and emancipation. To achieve this aim, the chosen methods of action are: preserving and transmission of heritage; access to culture and artistic and cultural education; and support for young contemporary creation.
In this context, Total Foundation regularly supports the musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac. The foundation became a Major Patron in 2009. In 2020, this resulted in support for the exhibition Ex Africa. African aesthetics in contemporary art.
