Description
Légende de la planche : "Plate XXVI. Huhuwa Kachina is known as the crossed legged one, for he walks and dances with his legs crossed. The costume varies considerably, but generally consists of dilapidated clothing and burlap sacks tied on the feet for moccasins. Ribbons are attached to the shirt and an abalone shell hangs from his neck. Huhuwa is said to be a very old Kachina and his mask is quite human in appearance, there being a wide variety in facial caricature. Three colored corn husk decorate his woolly hair".
Usage
