Description
Légende de la planche : "Plate IV. Eototo is the chief of all the Kachinas. The mask is made of buckskin or white cotton cloth and has sacred or magical properties. It is embellished with a few sparrow hawk feathers. The costume, except for the mask, is the same as worn by Soyal Kachina (Plate I). A bag of white cornmeal, chief's stick, a netted gourd of water, and green corn shoots are caried. The chief's stick is shaped in a distinctive manner and has a ear of white corn tied to it".
