Documentary about an organized group of women scroll painters from the village of Naya, India, chronicling their lives and how they are adapting their art to reflect current social issues as well as traditional themes addressed in their scrolls. The women discuss the social, political and religious issues that inform their art and influence their daily lives, and how they are responding to the changing conditions in their communities
