THE CAISSE DES DÉPÔTS
As a historical player in urban policy and pioneer in transitions in France, Caisse des Dépôts has played a central role in territory planning ever since its foundation back in 1816. Its lines of business and methods of intervention characterise the diversity of its missions: financier, investor and service provider serving the public interest.
Its sponsorship work reflects its role as a public space planner, social housing financier and number one social landlord in France. In the context of the French Culture Ministry's national strategy for architecture, sponsorship supports young architectural and landscape design in two ways :
- Support for research
- Support for innovative projects bearing on :
-The circular economy in architecture and landscape
-Raising the general public's awareness of architecture and landscape
The Caisse des Dépôts is pleased to support in 2017 the renovation of the musée du quai Branly's green of scenery, as designed and orchestrated by botanist Patrick Blanc. This project will help raise public awareness about landscape and architecture as well as about ecological issues at stake in an urban environment.
