Pernod Ricard

In 2004, Pernod Ricard became the first Founding patron of the musée du quai Branly. This partnership speaks of an important issue for the 70 worldwide branch group : the respect of cultures and local specificities of the countries where they are found.

Pernod Ricard, patron of the museum's terrace pools

On Tuesday 6 April at 8 p.m., at the Pavillon des sessions of the Musée du Louvre, the Pernod Ricard group signed its patronage agreement with the musée du quai Branly, in the presence of Patrick Ricard, Managing Director of Pernod Ricard, and Stéphane Martin, President of the musée du quai Branly.

The musée du quai Branly appeals for support from companies sharing the same values. Pernod Ricard became the first of these partners. An international French company, Pernod Ricard encourages an open mind to others, sharing and friendliness, just like the musée du quai Branly. A genuine state of mind, on which all of the two partners' activities are based, this outlook to the rest of the world forms the foundations of Pernod Ricard's partnership with the museum. The creation of the museum's terrace pools has therefore been funded by Pernod Ricard. Stimulated by the importance of water, the Group seeks to highlight this element that is both a life source and at the heart of its profession.

Pernod Ricard, patron of "The River"

After the execution of the pond of the museum terraces, a large scale project orchestrated by the architect Jean Nouvel, Pernod Ricard has chosen to extend its support to the video work of the artist Charles Sandison who, through his installation THE RIVER, has entirely taken over the main access ramp of the museum.

A strong sign of sustained commitment of the Group by the side of the musée du quai Branly, this new initiative draws its whole meaning from the creative wave that the artist creates by combining languages and technologies, in a river of words accompanying the stream of visitors in their climb up to the source: the collections section.

This contemporary art installation mixing diversity of languages wand cultures resolutely incarnates values which are at the very core of the Pernod Ricard world: respect for roots, exchange and conviviality, contemporary creations.
