performances and concerts
Performances, musical salons, jazz concerts, masterclasses... the musée du quai Branly takes you to the four corners of the world, from South Africa to Japan via Australia, to discover other cultures and encounter unique artists.
2012-2013 season
On the programme for the 2012-2013 season are three cycles of events presenting original creations by contemporary artists (Swan Lake by the South African choreographer Dada Masilo, a Japanese Mahabharata by the director Satoshi Miyagi) and the traditions associated with African dances with masks and drums.
An event for young visitors accompanies the exhibition The origins of Aborigine painting and leads visitors to Australian Aboriginal lands, while performances of African masked dances are proposed to school visitors by the Maison des Cultures du Monde.
The musical salons punctuate the season, offering unique musical encounters each month.
Finally the Blue Indigo jazz concerts host artists whose musical projects relate to Afro-Futurism.
