The department of teaching and research introduces, by itself or in collaboration, different demonstrations that allow, once again, the advancement of research, and the diffusion of knowledge to a more or less specialized audience.

Every year, two international symposiums are held on problems that are part of the department's research fields, namely, anthropology and non-Western history of the arts.

Workshops are likewise offered on more restricted themes.

Lecture courses are jointly organized with several universities and carried out by guest researchers who are in residence at the musée du quai Branly. For example, the lecture course Culture and Law took place during 2008, and on through 2009.

Some of the teaching seminars offered at the museum are also open to the general public.

A series of lectures entitled "Comtemporary Classics of Anthropology" will be organized.
