cycles of events
This season, the Claude Lévi-Strauss theatre is presenting two cycles of events offered by international contemporary creators marked by artistic cross-fertilisation: a South African Swan Lake by the young choreographer Dada Masilo, and a Japanese Mahabharata directed by Satoshi Miyagi, who re-examines the codes of the Kabuki.
The permanent nature of traditions relating to events and rituals is also presented through a partnership with the Maison des Cultures du Monde, which offers Makishi and Dogon masked dances in the context of the Festival de l'Imaginaire, and hosts the Master Drummers of Burundi.
