Paul Emile Victor: explorations
10 and 11 March 2007
an 'open doors' weekend is devoted to Paul-Émile Victor, on the occasion of the centenary of his birth. Round tables, lectures, readings and visits in honour of the man of the Poles – explorer, humanist and artist – in particular as regards his relations with the Inuit people.
Faithful to its scientific mission, the Musée du quai Branly regularly hosts colloquia and congresses aimed at a specialised, professional public: the 15th Congress on Inuit Studies, in October 2006 under the aegis of INALCO and in partnership with the CNRS and Paris I Sorbonne, and Anthropology and Art History, in June 2007, organised by the Musée du quai Branly in partnership with the Comité Français d’Histoire de l’Art and the INHA.
