entirely public adults
Four years after its opening, the musée du quai Branly has already welcomed over 6 million visitors. This success is, of course, due to the attraction of its collections that highlight the wealth and diversity of non-European arts and civilizations, but also to the variety and quantity of its programming. Temporary exhibitions, performances, meetings, workshops, film, etc. make the museum a veritable city where cultures speak, permitting them to be understood, seen, and felt.
what is the musée du quai Branly?

WHAT DO WE FIND AT THE MUSÉE DU QUAI BRANLY?
Non-European objects from Africa, Asia, Oceania, and the Americas, some of which are very old and others recent, are exhibited at the musée du quai Branly. Different types of objects can be found at the museum: textiles, musical instruments, masks, statues, jewelry…
THE COLLECTIONS FLOOR
A large open space, the Collections Floor presents nearly 3500 works, spread out in large “regions”, recognized by a color code. Welcoming more than 500 new objects each year from new acquisitions or replacing the most fragile pieces, it is continually renewed.
THE TEMPORARY EXHIBITIONS
a cultural city
More than a museum, the quai Branly is a veritable “cultural city”. It welcomes artists and scientific figures from the entire world for a rich and varied programming. All throughout the year, embark on a journey of discovery of the cultures of the world!
