the Bookstore

Neighbouring the museum and garden, the museum bookstore-shop at 220 rue de l’Université, is now France’s leading sales point in the field of tribal arts.

Beneath its high ceilings, painted by Australian Aborigine artists, visitors will find a wide selection of books, both on the museum itself and French or foreign works of reference, along with postcards, posters, reviews, CDs, DVDs, and other items to please the general public and experts alike.

Artefacts on sale in the shop area are neither imitations nor replicas, but are true echoes of the arts and crafts of the countries represented, and sold in the spirit of ethical trading.

Opening hours: 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. daily except Mondays. Thursday evening until 10 p.m.
