Résumé
This is a documentary of a winemaking couple in French Catalonia from harvest to harvest. It is a portrait of Christine Campadieu and Vincent Cantié, of their life in their vines, in their winery and in their village, the old Mediterranean port of Collioure, near the Spanish border. Filmed throughout one year, this is more than a film about wine. It is also a film about their relationship to the magnificient natural world surrounding them and their vines planted on terraces on the steep, rocky slopes of the Oriental Pyrenees right up to the sea. Christine and Vincent reflect on their craft, on their efforts to succeed at a small family business, and on their strong ties with their own families and community. It is also a film about the impact of modern life on tarditional culture, in the vineyard, in the winemaking and in the heart of the small fishing village has become a popualr tourist destination.
