Federated searching enables the user to select more than one catalogue for a combined search. The search makes use of the catalogues’ common elements, such as titles and designations, authors, artists and others linked to a collection, and thematic areas. Results are posted catalogue by catalogue. It is possible that one or other catalogue selected shows no result for the search undertaken.
