Central to the Musée du quai Branly’s existence is its mission to put the patrimony entrusted to it to the best possible use, and to present it to the public at large.
Here, innovation is a key word, and the museum is putting a digital version of the entirety of its collections online, with photographs of and notes on 267,434 artefacts. Today, 446,236 items are available on-line. This ambitious ongoing project is designed to facilitate public access to patrimonial documentation and contribute to promotion of research in human and social sciences.
