The arts of the Americas, Asia, Africa and Oceania
The purpose of this book is to show some of the marvellous things in this museum to children. From South America to Asia, passing via Oceania, North America and Africa, each page plunges us into an unknown and mysterious world. There are masks, statues, cloths and artefacts: the author has selected each visual very carefully. Each one represents a culture, a history and a tradition. The reader’s gaze is directed by cartoon figures, who help the child to notice, and to be both reader and observer. This unusual book will take you on a voyage around four continents and open you to cultures at the end of the world.
