The quai Branly museum
In 1999 Jean Nouvel won the competition to build this new museum that has grown out of the collections at the musée de L'homme Mankind and the musée des arts d'Afrique et d'Océanie*. Between January 2001 and June 2006, an exceptional construction site rose up along the banks of the Seine, at the base of the Eiffel Tower. This is the adventure that the authors have retraced with enthusiasm, alternating interviews with studies and photographic portfolios. This book will qatisfy the public at large as much as professionals.
A reference book about the museum for all lovers of architecture.
