When History Meets Anthropology
Anne-Christine Taylor and Thierry Dufrêne
It has been a long time since objects from non-Western civilisations could only be found in museums and museum displays presented “beautiful” objects. The boundaries between the two disciplines have become permeable: historians and anthropologists share their methods, approaches and perspectives.
This volume was produced as a result of the Colloquium in History of Art and Anthropology which took place from 21st to 23rd June 2007 at the musée du quai Branly.
